Some of Bruneau Group's commercial activities may be covered by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (hereinafter the "Act") such that we must obtain an individual's consent when we collect, use or disclose the individual's Personal Information. Age of MajorityBruneau Group collects only Personal Information from individual or organizations as is required for the purposes of providing services or information. Personal Information will be collected, to the extent possible, directly from claimants. Bruneau Group will not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone who has yet to reach the age of majority. Such information shall instead be obtained from the legal guardian or parent of the minor.
Third Party Service ProvidersBruneau Group will ensure that contractors or third party service providers, who may receive Personal Information in the course of providing services to us, as part of our delivery of services, protect that Personal Information in a manner consistent with the principles articulated in this policy statement.
Disclosure of Personal InformationPlease note that there are circumstances where the use and/or disclosure of Personal Information may be justified or permitted or where Bruneau Group is obliged to disclose information without consent. Communicating InformationBruneau Group works to achieve a reasonable balance between security and convenience. For example, we may send emails in an unencrypted plain text because we know that many of claimants and clients cannot readily access encrypted e-mails. When communicating Personal Information to Bruneau Group, it is important to note that we remain unaware of any method that is unequivocally secure for communicating, forwarding or storing data. The transmission of mail, telephone calls, faxes and Internet exchanges are all susceptible to misrouting, loss and interception.
Bruneau Group may provide you with general access to public web sites and restricted access to extranets. Our web sites do not use cookies. Our servers may track general information about site visitors such as their IP address and time of visit. Bruneau Group's servers may also collect information about which pages are being viewed as well as information volunteered by visitors through online surveys. This information is for internal use only in the hopes of better serving visitors by helping us to update the content of our web sites or diagnose technical problems.
